WP1 Social Capacity Building

Social capacity building refers to the purposeful and
systematic development of the resources available in a local community or an organisation within an appropriate timeframe that can be used to anticipate, respond to, cope with, recover from and adapt to the impacts of a natural hazard.

We understand social capacity building as an umbrella term which comprises all efforts to build individual, organisational, technical as well as institutional capacities.
